OF TIME & PLAYERS
Currently our guild raiding schedule is set as Tues & Wed 9pm Server Time. The reason for this is the Officers and majority of guild members are on around this time for playing (or very near it) and it works out best. This time is not set in stone; should situations change for the majority, so too shall the raid dates/times.
As for Thursdays thru Mondays, this time is up for grabs. Many people choose it to hop on alts to level, some go PvP, and still others choose to farm for their mains. The choice is yours.
If anyone is doing quests and is in need of some help to get past a particular section:
1) Check the Guild tab in the Social Menu and see what players are doing. If there are groups in instances, then raids/runs are happening and you may have to wait a short bit for them to complete.
2) Please post a Guild Chat message and check to see if anyone is available to give some help. If you don't get a reply within a few minutes (please be patient as some players don't usually check Guild Chat... for some reason) then post again.
3) If you need a specific class of character to lend you support for your quest(s) then check the Guild Tab to see if any of those characters are online. If not, post a chat message asking if anyone has an alt around your level that could help for a few minutes to complete a quest.
A lot of the time, people tend to group together because of how they get along or because of how they know each other. For many in the guild it is because we have either played together for a long time or else because we know each other in real life. This should not be taken that we won't party up with anyone else. The only reason we know guild members is from partying with them. Don't hesitate to ask if you can join with people that are out questing, grinding or farming. Often people go out to farm for "something to do" so you could wind up getting some help with your own quests or even doing other things in the game you hadn't planned on.
*IMPORTANT NOTE*
At one point or another, we all started this game at level 1. We all had to work at getting our levels and gain experience in how to handle our characters. We all needed help but didn't always get it when we wanted it. This doesn't mean we changed guilds faster than a formula 1 pit crew changes tires. If other players aren't able to help you at that particular time, ask yourself, is there something else you can do until someone can help? Can you grind for XP, Gold, trash, until someone can help? Did you check with the guild to see if you could arrange a time when you could "borrow" someone for their assistance? DEMANDING HELP or even THREATENING TO LEAVE is perhaps the worst mistake you can make in any online game. We're all here to have fun. Childish behaviour such as threatening to quit or leave just reflects your level of maturity and won't be tolerated. Everyone has goals they want to achieve in the game, and so everyone is busy at some point or another. If you make demands for help... you have the choice of several Guild Officers that can show you the door. Some even have macros set aside for just that occasion.
Level 70's are "finnicky" and "fussy" players. They require careful handling and a bit of upkeep/maintenance. It is a rare player that comes into a game such as WoW and just comes in to play for fun. Because of this sad, sad *fact* we do need to keep some high-level events on the schedule in order to satisfy the lust for purplz.
Now I hear you all gasping at the idea some people just play for fun, but it is true. Many in our guild are like that. It isn't that we're bored with the game, but rather we play because when you interact with other players, anything can happen. Difficult challenges can be overcome, simple quests can turn into ugly wipe-fests, and even the most innocent of ideas can become a great source of laughter.
So keep your head up, eyes on the prize, and your gear repaired. You will get there, and we will help when and where we can. We aren't a babysitting service here to level your character for you, but when possible we will help you play your character.
Sincerely,
