Tabards and Metals and The Olympics

Ok, I was running Battlegrounds yesterday for 1 reason. I wanted my pet!!!


I mentioned that on Teamspeak and heard "Your What?".

So I figured I'd post here and let all of you, who don't already know or already have it, what Blizz has given us in this brief period.

During the Beijing Olympics ONLY you have the ability to get 2 items if you do Battlegrounds. It doesn't matter what level you are, how good you are, or what you are wearing (I'm an example details later).

First off, if you complete (win or lose doesn't matter), any Battleground then soon after in your mail box you will receie a message as well as a limited edition Tabard. It is called the Competitor's Tabard


That is just the start....

If you are in a battleground that your side WINS. Then you have a chance (totally random) of recieving another treat in the mail called Gold Medallion.
It in and of itself doesn't do anything but summon a rare, never in game seen before, non-combat pet.



As I said you don't need to be good at BGs just make sure you side wins! For example I played for the past 2 day and was in about 10 total BGs and the one that I finally got it in I was dead last. This, like the tabard, will be in your mailbox when you exit the BG if you are lucky. If not enter another and WIN again .
